Terms of Service for LexiCard

Terms of Service Last updated: 2026-03-09 1. Scope These Terms of Service ("Terms") set forth the conditions for using LexiCard (the "App"). You agree to use the App only after accepting these Terms. ⸻ 2. Service content The App provides language learning support features such as vocabulary study, flashcards, translation assistance, and AI-powered learning support. The operator may change, add to, or discontinue the service content as needed. ⸻ 3. Account The App may identify users through Firebase Authentication or similar services. You are responsible for the following: - properly managing your account - preventing unauthorized use - maintaining the security of your own usage environment Even if a third party uses your account without authorization, the operator is not responsible when it results from insufficient account management by the user. ⸻ 4. Paid services (subscriptions) The App may offer paid subscription plans that provide additional features (for example: Plus / Pro). 4.1 Payment Subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store payment system. The operator does not directly obtain or manage the user's payment information (such as credit card details). ⸻ 4.2 Auto-renewal Subscriptions renew automatically. Auto-renewal occurs within 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. ⸻ 4.3 Cancellation Subscriptions can be canceled as follows: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → LexiCard Cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours before the next renewal. ⸻ 4.4 Refunds Subscription refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy. The operator cannot process individual refunds. ⸻ 4.5 Restore Purchases Subscriptions purchased with the same Apple ID can be restored using the App's "Restore Purchases" feature. ⸻ 5. Prohibited conduct You must not engage in any of the following: - acts that violate laws or public order and morals - excessive load on the App or servers, unauthorized access, or reverse engineering - infringement of others' rights (copyright, privacy, reputation, etc.) - use for improper purposes (spam, fraud, harassment, etc.) - any other conduct the operator deems inappropriate ⸻ 6. Notes on AI features The App may use AI (such as the OpenAI API) to generate learning support information. No guarantee is made regarding the generated content's: - accuracy - completeness - usefulness Do not use the App for purposes that require professional judgment, such as medical, legal, or financial matters. You use generated results at your own responsibility. ⸻ 7. Intellectual property Copyrights and other intellectual property rights related to the App belong to the operator or the rightful holders. In principle, rights to text and other content entered by users belong to the users themselves, but the operator may use such data to the extent necessary to provide the App. ⸻ 8. Changes to or suspension of the service The operator may change or suspend the service in the following cases: - system maintenance - incident response - failures of external services - any other case necessary for operation ⸻ 9. Disclaimer The operator is not liable for any damages incurred by users through use of the App, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the operator. The operator is also not liable for the following: - communication failures - failures of external services (Firebase / Cloudflare / OpenAI, etc.) - errors in AI-generated results ⸻ 10. Changes to these Terms The operator may revise these Terms as needed. Revised Terms will be notified in the App or by another appropriate method, and if the user continues to use the service, the user is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms. ⸻ 11.
